Five ways to GREEN your surf
“The Hawaiians surfed on wood. The Peruvians surfed on reed. We surf on plastic.” – Veit Juergens
The surf industry is not a green one. Our stoke after a surf hides the fact that the industry is built on plastic and chemicals. Petrochemicals.
As this month is Plastic Free July, I thought we could talk about the sustainable things happening in the surf industry and simple swaps you can make to “GREEN YOUR SURF.”
SEASISTERS SERIES - Caitlin Barrett
"I love that my daughter is growing up in a world where women’s equality is barely questioned. She is only 5 and I am sure she will continue to face challenges for being a women as she grows, but right now in her mind there is absolutely nothing that women can’t do, and no reason for a man to question her because she is a girl. I love that for her!"
We caught up with Caitlin Barratt, the CEO of Love Mercy Foundation recently in the surf and shared a few waves...
This is what she had to say.
Why Surf?
Summer Feels, Sunshine & Stoke...
"It was time to call it a day. As we debriefed over lunch out of the back of our cars, the stoke was firmly etched within all of us. We couldn't wipe the smiles from our faces and we were already planning when we could do this all over again!
Best. Day. Ever!!"
