September, like so many boutique sustainable labels, was born out of an opportunity to create change. A born and raised New Yorker, Erika Togashi, designer and founder of September, struggled to find swimwear that she wanted to surf in, that gave her confidence in the water, was feminine, and that she could also wear to the beach.  September follows on from a decade long career for Erika, designing for brands like Patagonia, The North Face and J.Crew Mens.

September’s designs are well thought out and thoroughly tested in the water.  They ooze classic minimalist style. They’re innovative, yet sophisticated with a fabulous fit. Each suit is sustainably made with luxury Italian lycra - 100% Recycled and made from old fishing nets - in a fair trade, healthy working condition factory in Bali where Erika spends the majority of her time when she can't be found in New York.
